The CS4PI is a powerful metal

| Pulse
Induction: Unlike the the technologies used in
most metal detectors (beat frequency oscillation, induction
balance), the pulse induction system used in the CS4Pi fires
a high-voltage pulse of signal into the ground. In the absence
of metal, the 'spike' decays at a uniform rate. However,
if metal is present, a small current flows in the metal
object, and the time taken for the voltage to drop to zero
becomes longer, which the CS4Pi is able to measure. The
CS4Pi has one major advantage: it is completely impervious
to the effects of mineralization, and rings and other jewelery
can be located even under highly-mineralized ground (especially
beaches). The disadvantage of pulse induction detectors,
such as the CS4Pi is the lack of discrimination so your
ability to ability to differentiate between metals is much
reduced. |
